Melton Business Accelerator Program Culminates in Pitch Competition

The Melton Business Accelerator program, a community initiative of the Melton Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, recently concluded with a business pitch competition. Participants pitched their business plans to judges who are entrepreneurial leaders in the community. The following participants were awarded prizes to support the continued growth of their businesses:

3rd Place | Allena Williams
Business: Kamsman Services
The nine-week Melton Business Accelerator program guides and equips small business
owners with top-notch, intensive and customized entrepreneurial acceleration that
will result in scaling businesses in a faster, smarter and assertive way. Upon completing
the program, all participants receive a small stipend to further their business.
The Melton Center's goal for the program is to increase the impact in our community
by preparing participants for downstream programs in the ecosystem. The program is
supported through local and national partners including the Mobile Chamber of Commerce,
America's SBDC, Merchants & Marine Bank and the Capital Readiness Program.
